How Does Women’s Thoughts Change by Media?
One of the traditions from China is that parents usually want their son or daughter to marry at very early age. This custom is passed down for hundreds or thousands of years. People regard marriage as one of the most important thing in their whole life. Besides, parents will deal with all those all those trifles for their children, including choose their mates. Then, if you refuse to accept their arrangement for you, that’s great disrespect and disobedience to the older.

As times goes by, some old costumes have faded away, but the importance of marriage has been deeply rooted in our mind. When people who are over thirty or forty years old without being married, they will start to panic and eagerly to find someone else to marry with. People act like this only to fulfill others expectation, like their parents or kinsman. However, having this kind of decision in a haste easily leads to some bad endings, or divorce.

From long time ago, our ancestors came out some thoughts about men and women’s duty, what kinds of characteristics they should have and what part they play in this big society. Those notions somehow turn out to be some kinds of stereotype. From then on, most of us think this pattern is absolutely right and judge our conduct by that. In those rules, men work outside to support the family, and women should stay at home concentrating on housework and dealing with their kids. If thinking that wives do something bad, husbands can ask them to go their original home and never come back.

Being different from ancient times, people’s lives and values have been changed a lot. Marriage is not that important and the only option for most people. Especially for women, some of them pay much attention on their work and do a very great job. Now they focus on their job and think more extensively about their future. This alteration make people rethink whether marriage is necessary for them? Within a report “Career Women Meet Marriage Problem”, it mentions some problems which happen to women who work pretty well in the company. According to the article, more and more successful women in China still remain single. Surprisingly, most of them are charming and intelligent. As the matter of fact, they hope to get married, but as their careers are more and more prosperous, their requirements for husbands are higher. Only people with good conditions do these ladies think they can get along with. That is the reason why when other girls are married, these women still stay single.

As women have more opportunities of education and work, they will tend to think more careful about the marriage and always want to find the Mr. Right to be their spouses. At least, it is clear for these girls that they have to be serious about their relationship with another guy who will possibly marry them. In some way, the attitude in this article will prevent people from getting a bad or inappropriate marriage.

Their concepts of making up a family with another person are right. Whether people want this or not can be an optional question. This issue needs to be discussed with family or friend and thought twice before taking action. Many couples decide to get marriage after having sweet and happy time dating with each other. Once they are husbands and wives, lives become not so easy. There are many habits or trifles these two persons have to discuss or compromise with each other. If they do not go well during the process of talking over, divorce can be the last measure to end up these annoying quarrels. Recently, this bad mode becomes more common way for people to terminate their domestic arguments and problems. Take America for instance, its divorce rate is higher and higher than ever before. Due to this reason, the author of “Divorce Statistics and What They Mean” points out some phenomena which divorce gives to the society. After their first marriages and families are broken, the time for applying for divorcement costs almost one year, the will make people sense how thoughtless they were and be more serious about their next marriage. However, for other family members, this is difficult for them to accept. Kids who grow up in this kind of families have higher inclination to commit suicide. Still more and more people regard this as the best and most convenient way for ending their marriage. These statistics may give us warnings to rethink before making any decisions.

Indeed, these statistics are signs to show us something happen to this world that we should notice. When families are falling apart, they often can not be repaired anymore. Marriage is not like a children’s game which you can stop playing at anytime as you want. There is something to do with whether you have respect for it. Not only the couples but also their children will probably be harmed, even though parents seldom notice about that. When these poor kids’ feelings are overlooked by their dads and moms, they will try to harm themselves or be allured by other bad temptations like mean friends or some dangerous things. Eventually, this kind of carelessness will cause great problems to the society.

The alteration of the world is beyond out imagination, so do people’s thoughts. Their considerations are influenced in many different ways, and media is the greatest and well-known source to people like radio, television and newspaper. In people’s daily lives, they can effortlessly get any new resources from anywhere. Especially for women, they have learned some new ideas that they have never thought about since long time ago. These sources make them to alter their ways to think about themselves. It is certain that every thing has its good and bad aspects. Media can let people catch the update anytime but the wrong ideas and values will also be passed by it.

There is an example that people may be given wrong impression by watching television. While women are mentioned in media, people often emphasize on their figures and outside beauties. France’s legislature worries this kind of advertisement will mislead people’s judgments and decides to put a ban against media which will have some bad influences on women. Researchers hold positive appraisal toward this decision and think that offers citizens a chance to think over. What kinds of information about women shall we get from the media? Is it possible for us to accept the wrong value by them? Although this policy does have its outcomes, there researchers still hope that women can have their own abilities to think whether resources are worth believing and changing themselves.

Media really has great power to change people. This article gives us an opportunity to let us know about how it works in the society. It is an efficient way to spread some new concepts and inform the masses about them. These things will circulate among people and become the issues they are discussing about. It is a good phenomenon that every citizen can fully express their personal points of view without interference.

Through this way, women get to know more information about their positions in the society. From many years ago, their thoughts and feelings are limited, but this situation changes through a long period of time. Now, they begin to understand that they can make choices for many things on their own. With their own ways of thinking and abilities, they can deal with their own errands instead of letting others make decisions for them.

Afterward, the research presents the problems which career women will encounter in their family and company. These women begin to find the most suitable way to live as a mother or working women.

The records show that more and more women quit their job for taking care of their children and husbands. Part of the reason is also the pressure these women get from work because it is hard for working mothers to maintain the balance between working and family. In the occasion of work, they have to compete with male workers and work with high efficiency. Many of them will gradually be fatigued to face the dilemma. Thus, these women would think of giving their resignation and going back home taking care of all stuffs of the household. The book means to help them get rid of the anxiety from work and let them return to their career. This resolution changes some women’s lives as being a full-time mother and makes them have the courage and opportunity to prove their extraordinary abilities for their work.

As a matter of fact, a great number of women are tired of being a working mother. During the day, they have to concentrate on their job, and when they come home, there are more and more stuffs to do in their families such as cooking and cleaning dishes. My mother is one of these hard-working mothers. She feels tired of dealing with housework after back from her company and always hopes my brother and I can help her with these chores while we are at home. Her experience reflects all working mothers’ toil. In this condition, some women would like to stay at home and do the housework. Being a housewife can be a way to get out of their jobs and find some place to rest both mentally and physically. At that time, staying at home may be a good thing for them.

However, few women want to remain at home for the rest of their lives. They will hope for the opportunities to get back their work even it is a challenge for them. This article gives us a right direction about this issue. No matter being at home or going out to work, women should have their own opinions to make the choices. Therefore, they can know exactly what the problem is and work for it. Sometimes, things are not as difficult as people imagine if they can figure out the right way to fix it.

No thing will stay still and never change for a long time. With these reports and researches, we know that media really has huge impacts on women’s lives. Whether it is a good phenomenon depends on how use it. There are many things we can get from media every day. Nevertheless, not all sources are good for us, and people have to judge information by themselves. Then there is no deed to be afraid of being controlled by others’ comments.
