Sweeping analysis of research reinforces media influence on women’s body image

While women are mentioned in media, people often emphasize on their figures and outside beauties. Frances’s legislature worries this kind of advertisement will mislead people’s judgments and decides to put a ban against media which will have some bad influences on women. Researchers hold positive appraisal toward this decision and think that offers citizens a chance to think over. What kinds of information about women will we get form the media? Will we be guided to a wrong value about them? Although this policy does has outcomes, these researchers still hope that women can have their own abilities to think whether these resources are worth believing and changing themselves.

Media really has great power to change people’s consideration. This article gives us an example about how it works in the society. It is an efficient way to spread some new concepts and inform the masses about them. These ideas will circulate among people and become the issues they are discussing about. It is a good phenomenon that every citizen can fully express their personal points of view without interference.

Therefore, more and more people start to use television and other media as a way to advocate their new ideas about female issues. Gradually, more and more senses of people's right and will which we have never known before are revealed. Besides, people are more familiar with this kind of new thoughts.

By this way, women get to know more information about their positions in the society. Their thought and feelings are limited from long time ago. But, this situation changes through a long period of time. Now, they begin to understand that they can make choices for many things by themselves. With their own considerations and abilities, they can deal with their own errands instead of blessed by other people.

Pamela Stone summarizes the book, Opting Out? Why Women Really Quit Careers and Head Home, and discusses some important aspects of it. The records show that more and more women quit their job for taking care of their children and husbands. Part of the reason is also the pressure these women get from work. The book means to help them get rid of the anxiety from work and let them return to their career. This decision alters some women’s lives as being a full-time mother and makes them have the courage and opportunity to prove their extraordinary abilities for their work.

As a matter of fact, a great number of women are tired of being a working mother. They have to compete with the male coworkers in the company, and after finishing their job, there are more and more stuffs to do in their family such as cooking and cleaning dishes. My mother is one member of these mothers. She feels tired of dealing housework after back from her company and always hopes my brother and I can help her with these chores in family. Her experience tells most working mother’s toil. In this condition, some women would like to stay at home and deal with the housework. Being a housewife can be a way to get out of their jobs and find some place to rest both mentally and physically. At that time, that may be a good thing for them.

However, few women want to remain at home for the rest of their lives. They will hope for the opportunities to get back their work even it is a challenge for them. This article gives us a right direction about this issue. No matter staying at home or going out to work, women should have their own opinions to make the choices. Then, if having the difficulties adapting the works or environment, they can find somebody to consult about these things like their mother or other professional consultant. Therefore, they can know exactly what the problem is and work for it. Sometimes, things are not as difficult as people imagine if they can figure out the right way to fix it.

According to the article “Career Women Meet Marriage Problem”, more and more successful women in China still remain single. Most of them are beautiful and have their own career, most of all, they hope to get marriage. But, there are some problems. As their careers are more and more successful, their requirements for their future husband are higher. These ladies think only men who have good conditions can be together with them. That is why when other girls, who are at the same age with these successful women, are married, they still stay single.

As women have more opportunities of education and work, they will tend to think more careful about their marriage like which kind of person will be suitable for them. Although their high standards make them be single when they have already passed the proper age for marriage, it still is a positive way for them to think like that. At least, they know that they have to be serious about the relationship they will have with another guy in the future. In some way, the attitude in this article will prevent them from a bad or wrong marriage.

Many people regard marriage as the necessary part of their lives. Of course this is an important thing. However, if you determine to have marriage with someone you do not really love or know him. Then, it will turn out to be a disaster. These women who have great accomplishments are willing to pay their time to think which kind of people they would like to have to become their family members.

Within “Divorce Statistics and What They Mean”, the author points some influences which divorce gives to the society. Recently, divorce becomes a common way to solve the domestic arguments and problems, and less people would like to step into marriage. Besides, the time for applying for divorcement costs almost one year, that makes people be more serious about the next marriage. However, kids who grow up in broken families have higher inclination to commit suicide. These numbers may give us warnings to rethink prudently about the married divorce.

For decades ago, divorce is not a common way to see among people. No matter what kind of difficulties, which can not be work out, between the husband and wife, they would prefer to tolerate these things rather than asking for departing each other. Nevertheless, more and more people regard this as the best and most convenient way for terminating their marriage. Due to this reason, people easily get into marriage with the persons they love, and when they finally know that some problems appear, they break up.

After divorcing with their husband or wife, they often can not be repaired anymore. Not only the couple but also their children will be harmed. Even their parents seldom notice about that. When these parents do not know how their kids feel about this thing, it is easy for these poor kids to commit suicide or allured by other bad temptations. Eventually, this kind of carelessness will cause serious problems in the society.

Indeed, these numbers are the sign to show this phenomenon which we should notice. No matter people are before or after getting marriage, they should hold the cautious attitude toward these things. This is not like a children’s game which you can cease at anytime as you want. Many people are eager to marry someone when they are thirty or forty something. They are afraid that if they do not have marriage before this age, their parents or other relatives would keep talking about this issue. That is not the right attitude. If you do not have enough determination to start your marriage, then there is not necessary to be hurry about that.

From “A New Metaphor of the Language Art”, Baines remarks some methods to improve students’ writing abilities. When doing the writing, students are required to gather the reference sources they need beforehand and know which kind of people will be the major readers for their articles. After that, teacher will teach some skills of composing a article. Then students are allowed to discuss with their classmates and let them know whether their have some weak points in their articles. At the same time, teacher plays the auxiliary role to help them correct their problems by themselves and provide students with his comments and opinions. This makes pupils know clearly how to improve their writing proficiency.

Except for the way of writing, computers are used more often by teachers to guide their students how to write a good essay recently. In many schools, this high-tech products art put in almost every classroom and students can use during break time as their will. As a matter of face, the convenience and practicability of computer are undoubted. On the internet, people can find thousands or millions of sources and other people’s opinions toward to same issue. By comparing their point of view, pupils can gain more abilities of thinking and judgment. Therefore, they can make out whether the argument other people are talking about is reasonable and believable.

Writing is never an easy thing. We usually do not know what kind of advices we should give to our readers. Take myself for example, whenever being asked to write a comment or essay on literary works which have been taught in class, I always feel worried and do not know where to start my writing. Even if starting to write my paper, I am still not clear about the whole part of the information which I want to present to people. Then it is hard for me to think of some strong points or examples to support my view point in it. Therefore, the methods which Baines offers in his article are necessary and useful. Be prepared before you are going to write, and let people know the central content in your essay. In addition, you can add some experiences or examples into the article. That will make it more convincing.

Like what Baines says, we should make plan about the structure of the essay. It certainly will let you feel much easier to write. However, people often incline to make whole things perfectly, and then they start to do it. Actually, this is not a good way and you are probably waste too much time on that. People should regard writing as a way to push themselves to think deeper in more aspects. If they do like this, some interesting ideas which they have never thought before will come our, and that will make out the compositions more abundant for readers.

After obtaining these tips of writing, you should also practice it as possible as you can. Please remember that “writing is not an easy thing.” Only read and write more than others can let you make great progress and that is the right conception which all pupils should have about writing.

In the responses, you analyze the article closely. Adding much more of your own opinion will make it better. Many sentences can be combined into a larger paragraph and should be written as concise as possible. Moreover, do not write the summary and response separately and notice the sentence coherence.

In the first paragraph, there is a coherent problem before talk about the affection of computer. In addition, the second sentence in the second paragraph is a run-on sentence. That is too long and may let readers feel confused about your topic. But it is good to share your own learning experience with the readers.

I suggest you to summarize the original article with your own words. It is better not to quote too much from the primary one. In the third paragraph, it is improper to use on the other hand as the transitional word. It is because that the process to compose the argumentation and normal articles is the same. Their connections are not opponent.

Remember to make your works written in several paragraph next time. In your article, there are some run-on sentences. Please try to think about their connection and make proper adjustment. Moreover, all things you are talking about are the original article. Perhaps you can write some of your person idea.

Some of your sentences are weird. Be aware of the structure of every sentence and each sentence only has one subject and verb. In the second paragraph, you transit the topic too fast from mentioning the vitality of sharing opinions with classmates to how useful the blog is. To describe more connections between them will make the article more fluent and persuasive.

I have noticed that there are some grammatical problems in your composition. Maybe you can reexamine and correct them. The last two sentences in the last paragraph are weird. It seems that they do not have too much connection with the last paragraph. What does that mean to make our article more beautiful? Please use more accounts to describe their relationship.

In your composition, you mention “I think” for several times. This is already your works and you can talk what ever you think about the article. Therefore, there is no need to write that. Besides, you write quite well. There is not too much problem in your essay.

I think the problems you have in this article are basic ones. You use words in a wrong way. Maybe you can consult the dictionary about the corrective use of these words. Then, you will know better whether the word is a noun or verb and which preposition you should use in sentences.

You need some transitional words between the third and fourth paragraph and you do not mention the in-class discussion with classmates in your summary. You talk more about computer in the last three paragraphs. Listing some reasons why you think this is more important that other ways will help readers know why you focus on that issue.
