Pamela Stone summarizes the book, Opting Out? Why Women Really Quit Careers and Head Home, and discusses some important aspects of it. The records show that more and more women quit their job for taking care their children and husband. Part of the reason is also the pressure these women get from work. The book means to help them get rid of the anxiety from work and let them return to their career. This decision alters some women’s life as being a full-time mother and makes them have the courage and opportunity to prove their extraordinary abilities for their work.
As a matter of fact, a great number of women are tired of being a working mother. They have to compete with the male coworkers in the company, and after finishing their job, there are more and more stuffs to do in their family such as cooking and cleaning dishes. In this condition, some women would like to stay at home and deal with the housework. Being a housewife can be a way to get out of their job and find some place to rest both mentally and physically. At that time, that may be a good thing for them.
However, few women want to remain at home for the rest of their life. They will hope for the opportunities to get beck their work even it is a challenge for them. This article gives us a right direction about this issue. No matter stay at home or go out to work, women should have their own opinion to make the choices. Then, if having the difficulties adapting the works or environment, they can find somebody to consult about these things like their mother or other professional consultant. Therefore, they can know exactly what the problem is and work for it. Sometimes, things are not as difficult as people imagine if they can figure out the right way to fix it.

This phenomenon is common in modern society. Staying at home is not a compromise but one of choice we made by ourselves. Sometimes, women should not complain their life,because we have ability and make their own choices.
Though many people say that women have the right to work, we can still see there are still many women who would rather stay at home, taking care of husband and children. So, there must be some reasons why this happens.
This is a common problem in modern society, and it may happen to us after us starting our career life. Therefore it’s very important to figure out the proper solution of balancing career and managing family. If you can summit some solutions about the problem, that will be great.
